Volunteer
The Rio Grande International Study Center consistently undertakes massive projects to help spread environmental advocacy and change throughout the South Texas area, such as local cleanups, community service events, and city-wide fundraisers. However, given with our rather small work staff, the ecological ventures prove to be a responsibility that has grown to be too large to orchestrate it efficiently and at times, we ask for the people of Laredo to lend a loving hand.
Here, at RGISC, we are avidly searching for devoted, committed volunteers, from all ages, who are willing to spend time with us and assist us with a various assortment of projects that we continually have throughout the year. When volunteering with RGISC, individuals will begin to notice the tangible and immediate change they are having on their community and will actively continue to improve leadership, social, and personal skills. Volunteering is also a perfect way to establish friendships, personal and professional connections with others, and to feel proud of making an impact in the community. In the purest sense, being a volunteer with our organization is the gateway to be a true agent of change.
RGISC also offers to compensate any work done with community service hours, which are especially invaluable to those in schools, clubs, and organizations.
