The Rio Grande International Study Center (RGISC) is proud to present the 14th Annual Birds of the Brush Art Contest, a beloved South Texas tradition that celebrates art, wildlife, and community creativity.
Held alongside the annual Laredo Birding Festival, which RGISC has helped organize for over a decade, Birds of the Brush offers students and community members a platform to showcase their talents through paintings, drawings, and photography inspired by the vibrant bird species of the Rio Grande ecosystem.
This year, we are thrilled to share that we received over 300 outstanding entries—a true testament to the passion, creativity, and dedication of artists from our community and surrounding counties. Each piece reflects a deep appreciation for our region’s wildlife and the natural beauty that surrounds us.
