Christy Bryand - Community Engagement & Partnership Officer

Born in Laredo, Texas, Christy graduated from United High School in 1995 and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Psychology from Texas A&M International University in 1999. Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, former member of the TAMIU Political Science Association-Secretary, Student Government Association member, and recently elected 2024 TAMIU Alumni Secretary. She is passionate about spending quality time with family and friends, actively engaged in community leadership, volunteering, and organizing various community events. Christy is committed to professional growth by taking on challenging projects, expanding her network, and enhancing our environment. Notable projects include the LISD schoolyard forestry, Border 2025, and PM 2.5 initiatives. Christy possesses strong leadership skills, a wealth of community resources, and works alongside connections to numerous community leaders.
